This morning at citizensvoice.com:

The ice jam that caused flooding and evacuations in West Pittston Wednesday broke up and moved through Wilkes-Barre overnight. Susquehanna River levels in the city are now dropping but a flood warning remains in effect.

Low-lying areas are still threatened along the river and roads and schools remain closed in West Pittston and other areas.

West Pittston is no stranger to ice jams. Check out our photos of the Garden Village during a similar emergency in 1904.
