The Wyoming Valley Conference’s wrestling tournament has been postponed to a one-day tournament to be held Sunday, but fans don’t have to wait any longer for the event’s preliminary brackets.

All 14 weight classes had their preliminary seeds and brackets finalized and released Thursday night. They can be viewed below.

There’s plenty of diversity among tournament favorites. While Tunkhannock leads the way with four top seeds, the other 10 belong to eight separate teams. Coughlin and Crestwood earned two top seeds apiece and join the TIgers as the only schools with multiple No. 1 wrestlers.

As a reminder, the one-day tournament means only the semifinalists will finish in the top four. Semifinals losers will face off in the third-place match, and wrestlers who fall in the preliminaries or consolations can fight back for up to only fifth place. This is so wrestlers don’t compete beyond the maximum five bouts allowed in a day.
